From Portland:
The most direct and very scenic route is via the Columbia River Gorge. Take I-84 east from Portland to Exit #64 at Hood River. At Exit 64, turn right and go up over the RR tracks. After the stop, go straight, as this is OR Hwy 35. About 15 miles on you come to the Community of Mt. Hood. Passing the Mt. Hood Country Store on the right, we are 0.2 miles past the store, with our Bed and Breakfast Mt. Hood driveway on the left.
The More Scenic Route: allowing yourself a bit more time, leave I-84 at Exit #17. This route follows the old scenic US 30 which will return you to I-84 at Exit #35. This parallel detour takes you over Crown Point and past all the lovely waterfalls of the gorge to end at our elegant Bed and Breakfast Mt. Hood.
An alternate route is to take US Hwy. 26 east through Gresham, Sandy and Government Camp. 4 miles east of Government Camp is a junction with OR Hwy 35. Take this exit toward Hood River. (See below "From Central Oregon").
From the East:
Take I-84 west to Exit #64 at Hood River. At exit 64, turn left, go under the freeway, then turn right and follow above directions.
From Central Oregon:
Going north on US Hwy. 26 toward Portland take the OR Hwy 35 exit toward Hood River. This exit is about 4 miles east of Government Camp. Take Hwy 35 about 25 miles to our driveway on the right. Mt. Hood Hamlet Inn, our Oregon Bed and Breakfast is just 200 yards north of the Mt. Hood National Forest Ranger Station on the opposite side of Hwy 35, and 0.2 miles south of the Mt. Hood Country Store.
